A baby who was left alone in the woods just one hour after she was born now has a forever family.

Nearly one year ago, on January 28th, at about 1:47 in the morning, PCSO deputies rescued an abandoned newborn baby girl in Mulberry.

The girl was wrapped in a blanket, still attached to the placenta, surviving in the lower 50s temperature.

Fortunately, a nearby resident heard the baby girl's cries and called 911.

After months of searching for the baby's mother, she remains unidentified.

However, this heartwarming story takes a miraculous turn as the baby girl was officially adopted on November 29th.

The couple who adopted the child graciously allowed the police to share photos of their new family.

This precious angel, named Angel Grace Lnu, will now grow up in a loving home.

The adoption ceremony was a moment of joy, with Detective Green and Sgt. Ryan witnessing the union of the child with her new parents.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office expressed their gratitude to the community who prayed for the baby's well-being throughout her journey.

This incredible story is a testament to the Florida Safe Haven Law, which exists to protect newborns from abandonment.

Since its enactment, hundreds of babies have been handed over to Safe Haven facilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

The impact of this law cannot be overstated, as it continually saves innocent lives.

May this story inspire others to support and advocate for the safety and care of all children, offering them a chance at a brighter future.
